The latest version of the document is available from URL: http://www.afrikaner.co.za/pietwerf/conradie.htm NOTE: This document is designed to look best when a non-proportional font is being used - i.e. it should appear as having been prepared on an old typewriter. The best way of ensuring this, is to select the complete document and to choose the COURIER NEW (COURIER alone is not adequate!) Work on the Conradie Genealogical register was first started way back in 1932 by oom Hennie Conradie, and he worked on and off on this for 45 years. The register is a unique item for the Conradie family. Following is a brief history of work on the register. *1* 1932 - First Conradie genealogy for the Koelfontein Conradie family farm published by H.L.N. Conradie (oom Hennie). *2* 1954 - First Conradie genealogy for all the South African Conradies published in a book by H.L.N. Conradie. *3* March 1969 - register re-typed and amended by H.L.N. Conradie. *4* August 1975 - re-typed and amended again by H.L.N. Conradie. *5* 1978 - register published in book by Conradie Werda-commitee (Society). *6* February 1999 - the 1978 book was scanned in to the computer by Pieter Conradie. Both the 1954 and 1978 editions were used to resolve errors that were introduced by re-typing of the original. By sorting all the names, a number of duplicate names were also eliminated. Afterwards work started on making new additions to the register. *7* June 1999 - All genealogical information received from 1976 to 1998 by the Werda-commitee, is added to the master. *8* July 1999 - the register was reviewed against the basic information in Heese & Lombard's "Suid-Afrikaanse Geslagregisters". Sekere foute wat in beide die 1955 en 1978 register *9* 30 July 1999 - Willie Conradie forwards the genealogical information gathered at the Feb. 1997 Conradie-Fees at Buffelspoort. This adds no less than 100 new names tot the register.
